System Analysis and Design

The basic purpose of human evolution is to solve the problems of daily life.And make things easier for our selves. In this process we can see if computers can play any role. Can we use a computer system to help us in solving or simplifying the problem and making it easier, faster and cheaper. Here is where the role of a system analyst comes in. He studies the entire problem and the currently available resources. He makes an assessment if computers are needed or not. If yes then which kind of computers. And what softwares will run on them. For this he should not only have the knowledge of computer systems but also that of the concerned industry/business. Then only he will be able to cater to the needs of his customers. Thus domain knowledge is equally important. Therefore Systems Engineering is a multi-disciplinary filed.
